A team from Excellence supported our partner company in the installation and commissioning of a 900 megawatt transformer platform. The aim of the project is to optimize the transmission of offshore wind energy to the North Sea coast, almost 100 kilometers away, by means of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission. The platform is the largest of its kind in the world.

We were not only able to contribute our expertise in the areas of project and quality management, but also offer support in the areas of HSE topics, site management and concept development in the area of maintenance.
Sea fastening and the transfer of know-how from other areas and troubleshooting were also part of the projects.
